Job Description:

An international leader in their field, part of a global group with a high volume of new business, has created several Senior Controls Engineer roles to lead technical projects in the UK, Europe, and worldwide.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Profit Share + Overtime + Full Benefits Package

Location: Northern Ireland - relocation assistance available

Responsibilities:

• Develop PLC controls and software solutions for automated machinery projects
• Ensure control and safety systems meet national and international standards
• Program and commission robots such as KUKA, Fanuc, ABB
• Test, debug, and produce detailed test plans for software applications
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members
• Conduct testing in factory and on customer sites
• Contribute to project delivery within scope, time, and budget

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years in a similar role, experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred but other PLCs considered
• Track record of delivering machine control projects successfully
• Experience in automation, machinery design, with a hands-on approach
• Knowledge of vision systems, HMIs, motion control, robotics is a plus
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally for commissioning (1-2 weeks, several times per year)
• Effective team player with interpersonal skills
• Flexible, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities

Location: Based in Dundee area with relocation support; open to UK residents requiring sponsorship.
