Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a senior Contracts and Procurement leader to shape the commercial direction for its global Energy and Metals growth portfolio. You will collaborate with project, engineering, operations and corporate leaders across geographies to influence planning, packaging and contracting for capital projects and EPC/EPCM scopes.

The role focuses on developing strategies, managing tenders and negotiations, and ensuring value delivery across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in Contracts and Procurement within complex, project-led environments.
• Direct experience on major capital projects using EPC/EPCM models.
• Proven track record from tender through award, performance and close-out.
• Experience managing variations, claims and disputes balancing commercial outcomes with delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set the commercial direction for Contracts and Procurement aligned with Fortescue’s growth portfolio.
• Develop portfolio procurement and contracting strategies reflecting project needs and market conditions.
• Shape commercial approaches for FEED, EPC/EPCM, early works and pre-FID packages.
• Secure strong commercial outcomes through tenders, negotiations, awards and mobilisation.
• Protect value and delivery across the contract lifecycle, managing supplier performance and disputes.
• Strengthen supplier performance through risk-based due diligence and data-driven improvements.
