Job summary

Pave Aways Limited is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring safety, quality and commercial success. You will develop site teams, manage budgets, procurement and relationships with clients and subcontractors, and report to the Construction Director.

You will bring significant experience in building construction, strong contract knowledge (JCT/NEC), and a proactive leadership style, with a UK driving licence and IOSH Managing Safely.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in building construction projects including refurbishments.
• Proven track record as a Contracts Manager or senior construction management role.
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion, safely and within programme and budget.
• Develop Site Managers and project teams, setting clear expectations.
• Manage programmes, procurement and resources to keep projects moving.
• Own project performance and manage budgets, costs, variations, risk and contractual obligations.
• Build client and stakeholder relationships and act as senior point of contact.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to drive quality and collaboration.
• Ensure high health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Drive value engineering and lessons learned across projects.
• Report on project performance to Construction Director and Senior Management.
