Cavendish (Recruitment) Professionals Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of multiple civil engineering and construction projects across the UK. You will oversee Project Managers and site teams, ensuring safety, programme, and profitability while building strong client relationships.

You will shape strategy, monitor KPIs, manage risks, and support tender activities. A degree in construction management or related field, SMSTS, CSCS, and full UK driving licence

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card are desirable; full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple projects across a national portfolio.
• Manage Project Managers, Site Managers and project delivery teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Drive commercial performance and maximise project profitability.
• Oversee resource planning, programming and operational delivery.
• Monitor project performance, KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Support tender, bid and pre-construction activities where required.
• Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to project teams.
• Produce regular operational and commercial reports for senior management.
