Job summary

Up Front Recruitment invites applications for a Contracts Manager role focused on commercial and aviation surfacing, based in Reading with travel across the South of England and occasional nationwide assignments. The role offers responsibility from delivery through to completion in a established specialist contractor environment.

The ideal candidate has prior surfacing project experience, preferably in commercial or aviation contexts, and a proactive approach to coordinating site teams,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in surfacing projects is essential.
• Experience within commercial surfacing or aviation surfacing would be particularly relevant, although strong candidates with a solid background in other areas of surfacing will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial and aviation surfacing projects, ensuring they are properly planned, resourced and delivered to the required standards.
• Manage surfacing contracts from commencement through to completion.
• Oversee commercial and aviation projects across the South of England.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor programme, costs, resources and project progress.
• Work closely with site management and surfacing crews to ensure works are delivered efficiently.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve practical issues that arise during project delivery.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are maintained across projects.
• Support the planning and procurement of materials, plant and labour.
• Review project requirements and ensure the appropriate surfacing solution is delivered.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Travel to sites as required, including occasional nationwide projects.
