Equans is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in Harrow, Hertford, and Enfield, working across a portfolio of occupied social housing sites. This is a full-time permanent role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
Oversee multiple live contracts (typically 23 sites at a time), from handover through to final completion and the Defects Liability Period
Manage high-value projects including cladding, retrofit, and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) schemes
Provide project direction, consistency, and leadership across site teams
Collaborate with Contract Managers to manage contract programmes, SHEQ plans, and resource allocation
Support pre-construction activity including tender interviews and bid information
Ensure effective site setup including licenses, permits, and inspections
Make weekly site visits to assess programme progress, H&S compliance, paperwork, quality control, and resident feedback
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the contract lifecycle
Mentor and support Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors
Ensure compliance with Equans SHEQ strategy, and uphold the highest standards of health & safety and operational excellence

Who are you?
A proven Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with experience overseeing multiple occupied housing projects
Strong background in retrofit, cladding, or external refurbishments
Able to manage site teams, drive project success and ensure SHEQ compliance
Skilled at liaising with residents and resolving site-level concerns
Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence and negotiate
Confident communicator, both verbal and written, including client presentations
Experience with contractors such as United Living, Wates, Mullaley, or Greyline
Holds a full UK driving licence and willing to travel
