This role supports major FPSO activity, including shipyard works in Dubai and long-term offshore operations in West Africa, working within the international Contracts and Procurement Team of a globally recognised oil and gas operator. Known for its strong safety performance, financial discipline and long-life asset portfolio, the company delivers energy across North America, the North Sea and West Africa. Based in Aberdeen with occasional travel to Dubai, the role involves end-to-end contractual support for both EPC and O&M scopes, with a focus on risk management, compliance, and commercial value. The contract runs initially until December 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing contract strategies and tender plans to support ongoing operational requirements.
- Preparing and coordinating tender documentation, including prequalification processes and enquiry packages.
- Evaluating tender submissions, leading clarification and negotiating meetings, and presenting award recommendations to management.
- Drafting and managing contractual documentation in line with internal procedures.
- Overseeing post-award contract administration, including variations, claims, amendments, and performance assessments.
- Providing day-to-day advice on contractual and commercial matters to internal stakeholders.
- Liaising with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Insurance Teams to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
- Monitoring supplier activity and market trends to support procurement planning and vendor performance.
- Developing and implementing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in contractor delivery.
- Supporting EPC and shipyard activities by promoting contractual compliance, managing disputes, and reviewing claims.
About You:
- Substantial and proven experience in a similar role, managing major contracts from inception to close-out for oil and gas industry operators, including construction and shipyard projects.
- Skilled in negotiating and presenting contractual positions, including liabilities, indemnities, and insurances, with stakeholders up to senior management level.
- Strong commercial awareness and data analysis skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised and detail-focused, able to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
- Experience working on international contracts, with the ability to interpret and apply country-specific terms and conditions.
