About The Role

Our client is a leading Ground Engineering and foundations contractor. Due to increased work, they are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer or an experienced Project Manager, preferably with expertise in Ground Improvement techniques such as Stone Columns, Vibro, anchors, grouting, and Mini-piling.

Duties

  • Ensure the efficient running of contracts on site, including contract performance, safety, progress monitoring/reporting, client liaison, staff supervision, and commercial aspects, while maintaining safety, quality, sustainability, and efficiency standards.
  • Establish clear project deliverables through handover meetings with the process team (estimating, design, commercial, procurement, plant, operations) and monitor compliance via KPIs.
  • Prepare and submit contract documentation to clients in advance of work commencement, ensuring all approvals are obtained prior to site mobilization.
  • Develop site documentation and communicate deliverables to site supervisors. Attend site visits for complex or large projects as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain comprehensive, neat, and tidy site paperwork. Review site records weekly to ensure compliance with project deliverables and contracts.
  • Manage the closure of any non-conformities that arise during the project.
  • Record all changes to project deliverables with the customer, involving the commercial department as necessary.
  • Monitor daily project performance with the site team, ensuring timely resolution of actions and risks to maximize margins, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Report daily to the Operations Manager.
  • Exhibit strong HSE and sustainability leadership as a senior contracts engineer or Project Manager.
  • Lead or agree on final account settlements with support from the commercial department.
  • Review financial performance monthly and revise project forecasts weekly as needed. Manage all contract purchases and costs.
  • Support work-winning teams with sequencing, constructability, methodology, risks, and opportunities. Assist in customer meetings or bid document preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with the process team—including operations, preconstruction, commercial, plant, business development, and design—to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Build relationships with customers to understand their requirements and communicate the needs of Ground Engineering or ground improvement effectively.
  • Ensure project delivery teams comply with the Business Management System through support and audits.
  • Support the delivery of Ground Improvement projects.
