Job description

NES Fircroft is supporting a key Oil & Gas client in recruiting a Senior Contracts Advisor on a contract basis (outside IR35) until Q1 2027.

This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in their Kingston office, London.

We seek an individual with a Law degree (or similar) and strong legal expertise, especially in Norwegian Law.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in contract negotiations and project delivery.
  • Negotiate with external parties, manage contract activities including analysis, drafting, and qualification.
  • Support internal teams in tendering and project execution, coordinating with corporate departments, reporting to the Head of Contract Management.
  • Contribute to commercial proposals, balancing risks and terms acceptable to the company.
  • Support project completion within time and budget, mitigate risks, and maximize profits.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner across the company.
  • Ensure clients' standard contracting rules are applied, considering risk levels for all contracts with customers and suppliers.
Experience required:
  • Strong legal expertise in LOGIC, FIDIC, Incoterms, Norwegian Law (preferred), and contract law across common and civil law systems.
  • Knowledge of EPC contracts, offshore platforms, subsea fields, and related business areas.
  • Meticulous in contract preparation and legal compliance.
  • Strategic thinker capable of risk assessment, decision-making, and aligning actions with business goals while adapting to market trends.
