Apply for the Senior Contracts Advisor role at EXCEED Energy, a Kent company.

The Senior Contracts Advisor is a key role within the Supply Chain Team, ensuring that value is delivered to the Exceed business through the Contract and Procurement Process. The Senior Contracts Advisor will be accountable for the commercial aspects of contracting for the Exceed Wells Management Team, driving commercial contracting excellence, security of supply and risk management through the implementation of effective and efficient contracting strategies and arrangements. This role will provide support to the Exceed Supply Chain Manager, Project Teams and Clients, ensuring the Supply Chain is perceived as a positive, significant, value‑adding integral partner to the Exceed business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all procurement and contracting activities within the Wells Management Team, including tender preparation, commercial evaluations, contract negotiations, and post‑award administration.
  • Prepare and manage tender documentation, bidders’ lists, and contractual templates in line with company standards.
  • Liaise with project teams, supply chain, and legal departments to provide commercial and contractual support.
  • Drive best value through competitive tendering, effective negotiation, and strong supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure compliance with company contracting policies, governance, and risk management processes.
  • Support development and implementation of Master Service Agreements and Due Diligence evaluations.
  • Promote continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and support junior contracts personnel and provide cover for the Supply Chain Manager when required.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reporting, and support other ad‑hoc supply chain activities as needed.
Business Interface
  • Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders such as Project Managers, Commercial Director, Supply Chain Manager, Head of Well Management & Legal Counsel.
  • Collaboratively propose competitive solutions, constructively challenging the Business Demand and/or Procurement Practices to drive value and efficiency for the organisation.
Client / Supplier Interface
  • Manage Client / Supplier relationship effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics (e.g., Operations, Cost, Logistics, KPIs). Constructively challenge Suppliers in terms of contract delivery and performance as well.
Supply Chain Interface
  • Ensure strong connection across the wider Supply Chain Organisation to share and leverage best practices.
  • Ensure collaborative ways of working.
  • Follow internal company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other Exceed Contract Advisors to ensure Exceed and the clients’ requirements are met.
People
  • Provide support and guidance to other supply chain team members to ensure delivery of results when possible.
  • Provide contractual and commercial support and guidance to Technical team members.
  • Build effective working relationships with others and make a constructive contribution within the immediate team.
QHSE Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Degree qualification preferred in a business, management or law related subject.
  • Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results.
Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in contracting or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and commercial management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of strategic, legal, financial, taxation, and commercial principles, including LOGIC terms and conditions.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
