Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Contract Manager in the Renewables business, responsible for leading procurement and commercial activities across Onshore Wind, Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects. You will manage end-to-end procurement and provide pre- and post-contract commercial support to ensure successful project delivery.

Based in Glasgow or Perth with 50% site attendance, this permanent, full-time role offers a salary of £51,600 - £77,400 plus a performance-related bonus and a range of benefits

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• A professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB or MCIPS or working towards it.
• Experience in procurement and commercial management on infrastructure or large-scale capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead end-to-end procurement activities for allocated projects, from tender documentation to contract execution.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies across Onshore Wind, Solar and BESS projects.
• Provide pre- and post-contract commercial support to ensure effective governance and risk mitigation.
• Deliver cost reporting, forecasting and budget control across the project lifecycle.
• Support cost estimation and governance alignment with project maturity and approvals.
• Contribute to due diligence for prospective project acquisitions with commercial input.
