Job description

We’re a social and end-to-end content production agency. Since 2008 we’ve been building an integrated, digital-first offering that combines content excellence with channel best practice to drive performance across our client base.As a values-driven agency, our people are our power. We stay ahead of the game by hiring smart thinkers and giving them back what they put in: through rapid progression, industry-leading benefits and a culture which has been named in Campaign’s Best Places to Work for 7 years running.

We’re looking for a culturally switched-on, creatively driven Senior Content Writerwho lives and breathes digital. You have a passion for storytelling, a strong instinct for what works across social platforms, and a proven ability to craft compelling, insight-led copy that drives engagement and delivers results.

This role is ideal for someone who’s grown their career in social media and digital-first copywriting, built creative campaigns, and understands the power of words in building communities and brands. You'll lead from the front, mentoring junior writers, delivering exceptional work, and helping shape the future of our editorial offering.
You’ll act as deputy to the editorial team, reporting into the Social Partner Director, with a dotted line to the Executive Creative Director. This is a real opportunity to accelerate your career and step into a senior leadership role at pace.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Writing compelling, platform-native content across social and digital - headlines, captions, scripts, and long-form storytelling
  • Leading editorial calendars, ensuring content aligns with tone of voice, brand strategy, and best practice
  • Collaborating with creatives, strategists, producers, and editors to bring ideas to life across video, static, reactive, and campaign content
  • Driving creative ideation and supporting execution across diverse client accounts
  • Adapting tone of voice for different platforms, sectors, and audiences, from luxury travel to healthcare and DIY
  • Providing mentorship and quality control for junior writers, elevating the standard of output across the team
  • Championing delivery excellence, with strong attention to detail and a deep sense of ownership
  • Working flexibly across B2C and brand-led campaigns, embracing variety and fast turnarounds
  • Playing a key role in our Culture Lab - surfacing trends, driving innovation, and sparking fresh ideas
  • Leading proactive community engagement, helping foster meaningful conversations and build brand advocacy
  • Demonstrating a strong instinct for digital culture and emerging platforms (Reddit, Twitch, Discord, forums, niche communities)

Must-Haves

  • A deep love of copy, whether that’s sharp headlines, emotionally resonant storytelling, or powerful scripts
  • Proven experience writing for multiple social platforms, including dark social and emerging formats
  • Strong portfolio examples that show how your writing has meaningfully impacted brand performance or campaign success
  • Versatility across tone of voice, with the ability to switch between client needs and audience expectations
  • A clear understanding of cultural trends, audience behaviours, and platform nuances
  • Leadership experience - confident in coaching junior writers and upholding high editorial standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong quality control instincts
  • A collaborative, delivery-first mindset - this is a hands-on role with real output expectations
  • Comfortable engaging with clients, providing creative reassurance and guidance in fast-moving environments
  • Passion for community-building - not just reacting to comments, but starting conversations and surfacing insights
  • A strong instinct for where culture lives online and how brands can show up authentically
  • Confidence presenting ideas clearly in deck format (Google Slides, PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working with or around influencers and talent (preferred, but not essential)
  • Experience contributing to content strategy or creative planning
  • Familiarity with video production, including scriptwriting and on-set collaboration
  • Understanding of or experience with editing tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve

Key Accounts you will work on- Sandals (core client – flexibility, delivery, and client interaction are key), Screwfix, Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation (BHF), King, Dandara. You’ll work across a diverse mix of sectors, so enthusiasm for creative variety is a must.

What This Role Offers

  • A fast-paced, collaborative creative environment that values people, ideas, and culture
  • The opportunity to step into a leadership position
  • A platform to influence the creative direction of major brands and shape how they communicate online
  • Support to grow your career quickly, building seniority, ownership, and visibility across the agency
  • Named in Campaign Magazine's Best Places to Work 7 years running
  • Remote working predominantly - 2 day in the office per week
