Salary: If a range is being advertised: £39,800 - £47,000 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

THE ROLE

The role of the Senior Content Compliance Producer is to assist the Content Compliance Editor in ensuring all branded content produced for clients by BBC StoryWorks Programme Partnerships and published on a BBC platform adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements for advertising content including the Advertising and Sponsorship Guidelines for BBC Commercial Services, and relevant national and local advertising laws and practice (e.g. the Advertising Standards Authority CAP Code).

Responsibilities:

• Provide compliance support and oversight at all stages of compliance for BBC StoryWorks Programme Partnerships production and publishing activity.
• Act as deputy to the Content Compliance Editor and take responsibility for providing Advertising Standards Guardian approvals when required.
• Assess and advise on evidence to substantiate all claims made in content.
• Conduct due diligence on prospective clients.
• Offer advice and suggestions to the BBC StoryWorks Programme Partnerships team to ensure proposals and treatments are fully compliant.
• Provide internal training in compliance to team members.
• Ensure all content created and published by BBC StoryWorks Programme Partnerships is within our approved activity, understanding BBC's commercial guidelines and editorial standards.
• Support the wider StoryWorks business as needed.
• Deputise for PP ASG, performing ASG functions when needed.

• Strong editorial judgement and knowledge of branded content and legal guidelines.
• Ability to consider problems and apply time-critical solutions.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

• Knowledge of BBC editorial guidelines and compliance policies.
• Understanding of BBC values related to accuracy and impartiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present evidence-based points of view.
