Job summary

LGBT Great is seeking a Senior Consulting Actuary to join our team in the UK. The role suits actuaries looking to move into consulting, with opportunities to lead client engagements and potentially assume a Team Leader position, coordinating with Partners to set priorities.

Our services support trustees and employers on pension de-risking, investment planning, longevity, and regulatory changes. You will design surveys, lead client meetings, and develop new initiatives across the firm’s advisory

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with FIA/FAA or equivalent.
• Experience in DB pension consulting or scheme actuarial work.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for a range of clients.
• Lead a client team ensuring high quality work on schedule.
• Support Partners in managing client relationships, identifying issues and resolving them.
• Design and manage surveys; use statistical techniques to analyse data.
• Attend client meetings and propose new initiatives.
• Apply probability and risk methods to pension topics.
• Review the work of team members for accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on objectives while satisfying external requirements.
• Develop portfolio of Scheme Actuary/Adviser appointments.
• Deliver external talks and report initiatives to Trustees/Board.
