Job Description:
Turley is seeking a Senior Consultant/Associate Director focused on our net zero offer. The role involves providing modelling and quantitative analysis for new developments, existing portfolios, and organizational net zero strategies.
We prefer candidates experienced in energy and building modelling software with an interest in sustainability. Senior candidates should have project management and business development skills.
Preferred locations include London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Bristol, but flexibility is possible for the right candidate.
Buildings and Net Zero Consultant Responsibilities:
- Building modelling for new developments to demonstrate compliance with local policies and net zero ambitions.
- Analysis of existing asset portfolios to facilitate transition to net zero.
- Modelling energy systems and GHG emissions to develop Net Zero Strategies.
- Conducting whole life carbon studies.
- Potential for broader work in sustainable development and corporate advice.
About You:
- Experience and accreditation in IES VE for policy compliance related to energy, GHG emissions, overheating, and thermal comfort.
- SAP modelling knowledge and understanding of the transition to HEM.
- Development of spreadsheet models and tools.
- Good understanding of building operations, technologies, and UK policies.
- Enthusiasm and proactive attitude.
- Experience in techno-economic analysis for financial or environmental returns.
- Knowledge of corporate sustainability/net zero drivers such as GRESB, SBT, CRREM, MEES.
- Project management and client relationship skills.
- Ability to produce clear reports and compelling proposals.
- Whole life carbon experience.
- VBA skills.
- EPC accreditation for existing and new builds.
- Understanding of smart and renewable energy systems.
