Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant at TÜV SÜD

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Nuclear Safety Senior Consultant to join TÜV SÜD. You will report to the Safety Team Business Manager and support consultancy services in various nuclear safety areas.

As a senior professional, you will have the opportunity to explore all areas within the Nuclear Safety Group, gaining broad experience in the nuclear industry and working towards a specialized area.

You will be expected to undertake additional tasks to support our business's success and expand your skills, including project management, marketing, and business processes.

Essential skills include excellent written and oral communication, strong IT skills across MS packages, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Opportunities for travel to client sites and stakeholder engagement may be available. Candidates must be eligible for security clearance.

Your responsibilities
  • Provide consultancy in areas such as:
  • Safety case strategy, production, and management
  • Hazard identification, management strategies, and analysis
  • Derivation and categorization of safety functional requirements
  • Safety classification of systems, structures, and components
  • ALARP justifications
  • Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment (INSA) and peer reviews
  • Periodic safety reviews
  • Licensing and regulatory management
  • Engage in commercial, business activities, and project management

Requirements:

  • A numerate degree and experience in the UK nuclear safety industry
  • Membership of or working towards a professional body
  • Knowledge of international regulatory regimes
