Senior Consultant Psychiatrist - Adults (6740) Clacton-On-Sea, England

Salary: GBP150,000 per annum + £8,400 Car Allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated General Adults Consultant Psychiatrist to work at a new mental health hospital in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. You will be employed by one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.

This hospital provides acute inpatient services for men and women aged 18+, specialising in assessment and treatment of individuals in crisis or with significant mental health illnesses.

Requirements:
MRCPsych or equivalent qualification and full GMC registration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess, treat, and discharge patients safely.
  2. Manage medication.
  3. Ensure quality assurance, handle complaints, and promote co-production.
  4. Implement NICE guidelines.
  5. Lead and manage CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Innovative and able to initiate corporate decisions.
  • Knowledge of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
  • Experience with change management, relevant legislation, and contractual issues in mental health services.
