We are expanding our UK team and seeking experienced Principal and Senior Consultants in project finance and business case development, specifically those with experience in de-carbonisation and Net Zero projects and/or programmes in renewable energies, transport, and economic infrastructure assets, using various funding and delivery models.

Job Description
  • Support clients in developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies for greener, sustainable projects aligned with Net Zero targets.
  • Understand factors influencing major programme setup, development, and delivery at different lifecycle stages; focus on business case development and infrastructure development using private capital.
  • Contribute to assessing business challenges, developing optimal solutions, and implementing them.
  • Deploy and tailor our established processes, tools, and systems, contributing to their continuous improvement.
  • Use interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to support successful business outcomes.
  • Present ideas and outputs clearly and engagingly.
  • Operate confidently as part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic advisory services.
  • Ensure high-quality work and excellent client care.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues through communities of practice, social media, and workshops.
  • Identify and contribute to business development opportunities.
  • Be flexible to travel.

Ideal candidates will possess strong commercial acumen, leadership, and relationship management skills, supported by the Programme Advisory senior leadership team, within an entrepreneurial environment encouraging flexible working.

Qualifications
  • Degree, Masters, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project finance and/or business case development, preferably in de-carbonisation, Net Zero, renewable energy, defence, or water sectors.
  • Experience working with the public sector across various projects and organisations.
  • Understanding of UK policy guidance, economic benefit assessments, social value, community benefits, and low-carbon transition.
  • Knowledge of de-carbonisation and Net Zero technologies such as hydrogen, electric/zero emissions transport, batteries, and carbon capture storage.
  • Understanding of project finance and private capital's role in infrastructure development.
  • PPP/PFI experience, especially PFI Handback.
  • Effective management in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Influencing skills within commercial/procurement contexts and ability to grow client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and team-working skills.
  • Client-facing gravitas and proactive approach.
  • Ability to lead bid proposals and collaborate with senior management.

Other requirements: Candidates must hold, or be able to obtain, UK security clearance (SC), hold a UK passport, and be British nationals.
