We are expanding our UK team and are seeking experienced Principal and Senior Consultants in project finance and business case development, especially those with experience in de-carbonisation, Net Zero projects, renewable energies, transport, and economic infrastructure assets using various funding and delivery models.

Job Description
  • Support clients in developing, implementing, and optimizing procurement and funding strategies for greener, sustainable projects aligned with Net Zero targets.
  • Understand factors influencing major programme setup, development, and delivery at different stages, with an emphasis on business case development and infrastructure development using private capital.
  • Contribute to assessing business challenges, developing optimal solutions, and implementing them.
  • Deploy and tailor our established processes, tools, and systems, contributing to their continuous improvement.
  • Use strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to support successful business outcomes.
  • Present ideas and outputs clearly, concisely, and engagingly.
  • Operate confidently within a multi-disciplinary team providing holistic advisory services.
  • Ensure the quality of your work and deliver excellent client care.
  • Share knowledge through communities of practice, social media, and workshops.
  • Identify and contribute to business development opportunities.
  • Be flexible to travel.

With a natural approach to business generation and excellent commercial acumen, you will support, lead, develop, and manage relationships with the backing of our senior leadership, in an entrepreneurial environment that encourages flexible working.

Qualifications
  • A degree, Masters, MBA, or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in project finance and/or business case development, preferably in de-carbonisation, Net Zero, renewable energy, defense, or water sectors.
  • Experience working with the public sector managing transactions/projects across various sectors.
  • Understanding of UK policy guidance, economic benefit assessment, social value, community benefits, and low carbon transition.
  • Experience with technologies in de-carbonisation and Net Zero, such as hydrogen, electric/zero emissions transport, batteries, and carbon capture storage.
  • Understanding of project finance and private capital's role in infrastructure, especially in de-carbonisation and Net Zero.
  • PPP/PFI experience, particularly PFI Handback.
  • Effective management within multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to influence in commercial/procurement settings and grow client relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong analytical skills, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, presentation, and written skills.
  • Confidence in client dealings, with a proactive approach and inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to lead bid proposals and work closely with senior management and teams.
Other Requirements
  • Candidates must hold, or be able to obtain, UK security clearance (SC).
  • Must be British nationals and hold a UK passport.
