Job Description:

In this role, you will gain exposure to a variety of assignments across multiple sectors, working with diverse clients including main contractors, sub-contractors, and client organizations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Report directly to the Managing Director and support senior management on complex disputes, while managing your own client assignments related to claims on live projects.
• Support on disputed and time-related issues alongside Delay Analysts.
• Review construction programmes and advise clients accordingly.
• Assist clients in avoiding conflicts by providing expert, commercially focused counsel.
• Support clients on delay and loss matters.
• Collaborate with commercial experts on time-related issues.
• Provide delay-related coaching and training to clients.
• Prepare reports and represent clients in tribunals.
• Work with solicitors on construction-related disputes.
• Contribute to Business Development activities.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Approximately 10 years postgraduate experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in live planning and programming roles or delay analysis at a disputes consultancy is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with programmes and software such as P6, Asta Powerproject, MS Project.
• Experience with formal dispute processes (adjudication, arbitration, litigation) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract like NEC and JCT.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree qualification; a Masters in Construction Law is desirable.
