Overview

Senior Consultant, Office of the CFO | Corporate Finance & Restructuring at FTI Consulting. FTI Consulting is the leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation. This role is a critical team member who helps guide and execute client engagements and carries business development responsibilities in addition to client work.

What You’ll Do

• Perform high-quality client work and develop client relationships for CFO advisory assignments, with proactive anticipation of client needs.
• Manage projects and lead engagement work streams with limited oversight to ensure high-quality execution.
• Support Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors in building and growing the practice; develop knowledge management tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, checklists and processes.
• Assist with practice development and marketing, including creating materials, surveys, events and case studies.
• Participate in writing thought leadership pieces relevant to CFOs and the OCFO practice.

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or economics, or equivalent.
• Professionally qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA – or equivalent).
• Experience across financial/accounting consulting and advisory; experience in corporate finance, accounting, or controllership functions.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and the ability to develop and scale financial models.
• Ability to travel to client locations and FTI offices as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) / FP&A certifications are advantageous.
• Ability to synthesize and advise on complex financial and operational concepts into clear recommendations.
• Experience with business intelligence or data analytics tools such as Power Query and Power BI is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in at least one of the following offerings:
• Planning Performance & Management: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, cash flow forecasting, profitability analyses, and related models.
• Accounting & Financial Reporting Advisory: controllership, monthly reporting, close optimization, reconciliations and controls documentation.
• Finance Transformation: finance function assessments, cost reduction, process optimization (OTC/PTP/RTR), automation, and analytics.
