We are searching for an experienced Senior Consultant in ESG & Sustainability.

Overall Job Purpose

Are you an established ESG Consultant ready for your next challenge and wanting to make a difference?

RSM is experiencing significant demand for its ESG consultancy services across various markets. The firm has invested heavily in its ESG consultancy team and aims to further expand it.

As part of our goal to become the first-choice provider to the middle market, RSM seeks to deepen its ESG services to meet increasing demand and undertake larger projects. This Senior Consultant will play a vital role in delivering ESG consulting engagements and will also contribute business and commercial skills to ensure project success. Opportunities to contribute to business development and service innovation are also available.

Working within a diverse team and collaborating closely with clients, establishing trust and credibility is essential. You should be an active listener, proactive, and have experience in delivering value-driven ESG projects. A good understanding of current business and economic issues and trends is important, especially if you have not specialized in a specific industry or sector.

As a Senior Consultant, your focus will be on delivering excellent client service. Strong analytical skills and exceptional communication abilities are required. You will also engage in business development and practice management activities, including networking, developing campaigns, meeting prospective clients, creating case studies, and refining methodologies.

In return, you will be part of an agile, dynamic, entrepreneurial team within a leading business advisory practice with over 4,000 employees in the UK and a global network operating in around 120 countries.

Essential

• A strong academic record, preferably with a business focus and postgraduate qualification.
• Significant experience in areas such as Sustainability Strategy, Governance, Risk Management, Performance Management, ESG Strategy, Supply Chain Risk, Financial Reporting, ESG Frameworks (e.g., TCFD, CSRD), Management Reporting, ESG Transformation, and Assurance of ESG Data.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Alignment with RSM’s core values: excellence, teamwork, integrity, respect, and stewardship.

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or MSc in ESG/Sustainability, CFA certification in ESG investing, or other relevant qualifications.
• Experience in project or program management.
• Practical experience working within an ESG function.
