Senior Consultant – Delivery Lead

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Salary: Up to £75,000

The Company

A specialist transformation consultancy within the investment and wealth management sector is seeking a Senior Consultant – Delivery Lead to join its strategic delivery team. This function supports major change programmes across core operations, technology strategy, and platform implementation for a portfolio of leading wealth managers, investment platforms, and financial institutions.

The Role

As a Senior Consultant – Delivery Lead, you will take a central role in managing complex transformation programmes from inception through to delivery. Operating within multi-party environments, you’ll serve as the key interface between clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role that requires structured thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate confidently in fast-paced, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-profile transformation initiatives across the wealth and investment space.
• Serve as the main delivery contact for senior client stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams including testing, data, solution design, and platform implementation.
• Work closely with platform vendors and internal SMEs to deliver complex system or operational change.
• Produce MI, status reports, and ensure delivery governance is embedded throughout.
• Uphold best practice across project delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Skills & Experience:

• Solid background in delivery or transformation consulting, ideally with exposure to wealth, pensions, or insurance.
• Experience delivering platform or system change programmes in complex financial environments.
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies; confident using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in multi-vendor programmes.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across fast-moving programmes.
• Knowledge of key platforms such as FNZ, SS&C, or Avaloq.
