We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Systems Security Engineering Senior Consultant to join Leonardo Cyber & Security Solutions Division. You will help our customers deliver and secure their solutions and products. Our Cyber Consulting practice works across sectors including Defence, Telecommunications, Energy, and Finance to help secure national infrastructure in the UK and beyond. Our Practice is certified by the UK NCSC in advising customers across enterprise and operational technology in all security domains of Governance, Risk Management, Security Architecture, and Compliance.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role with exposure to traditional and cutting-edge IT, Electronics, and bespoke Operational Technology systems, with a clear pathway to chartership, NCSC certification, and greater responsibility. You will inspire and lead in solving customer problems in an agile, innovative, and team-centric manner. We seek creative, passionate, technically savvy, and personable individuals to grow our practice and address critical security challenges to the UK’s digital landscape.

The role is based at our offices in Bristol or Luton (hybrid working), with travel to other UK locations as needed.

As a Consultant, you will:

  • Relate: Actively listen and empathize with customers to build trust.
  • Understand: Define solutions based on experience and technical knowledge.
  • Assess: Identify and analyze risks through risk assessments and governance structures.
  • Treat: Define security solutions across people, process, and technology based on risk.
  • Assure: Help ensure security compliance through assessments against criteria.
  • Develop: Support business development and product development efforts.

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in an Engineering-related discipline with 3+ years of experience.
  • At least one recognized cybersecurity certification (e.g., Sec+, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CASP, CEH).
  • Experience managing stakeholders and communicating effectively.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and deliver solutions to improve cyber posture.
  • Experience in cyber risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis.
  • Knowledge of system and security design, decomposing requirements, and conducting cybersecurity tests.
  • Experience with MBSE and supporting business activities.
  • UK SC Clearance or ability to obtain it.
