This team will provide high end business advisory services across all BakerHicks Business Sectors, Business Units and Geographies that will:

• Act as an enabler to position the design, engineering and delivery disciplines for project commissions

As a Senior Consultant, Controls, you will drive the implementation of project controls frameworks, PMO establishment, governance, and performance management, ensuring successful project and programme delivery while providing strategic guidance to clients.

You will establish and manage Project Management Offices (PMOs), providing strategic advice and aligning with client objectives, while overseeing risk management frameworks and providing actionable insights through performance monitoring and reporting.

You will contribute to business development and client relationship management to expand the firm’s market presence.

Key Objectives

• Provide high-level consultancy services to clients, specialising in project controls, project management office (PMO) establishment, governance, and performance management.
• Develop and implement robust controls frameworks, driving PMO functions, and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale projects and programmes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, driving strategic improvements and helping them achieve their objectives through effective project management practices.

Requirements

Education:

• A degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• PMP, MSP, MOP, Prince 2, P3O, P3M3, Agile (or related methodologies), or equivalent project/programme management certifications (some or all of these are required).
• Certification in Risk Management (e.g., PMI-RMP, APMG Risk Management) (desirable).

Experience:

• Proven experience in project, programme, and portfolio management, with a focus on delivering consultancy mission critical services to infrastructure centric high-profile clients.
• Experience in implementing and managing controls within a P3M environment.
• Extensive experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects and programmes across multiple sectors.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in project controls, PMO delivery, and large-scale project/programme delivery within an infrastructure or asset centric consultancy or client-facing environment.
• Proven track record in establishing and managing PMOs and controls frameworks for complex projects and programmes.
• In-depth knowledge of governance, risk management, and quality control practices in project management.
• Experience in implementing project controls in both waterfall and agile project environments.
