A little more about your role…
Based in our Belgium - Brussels Office.
WSP is at the forefront of providing policy and economic advisory services to the public and private sector. As a market leader in chemicals and water policy and a significant player in industrial emissions, air quality, circular economy, taxonomy, and biodiversity, we aim to become the number one source of policy and economics expertise across the EU and UK in all major environmental fields. Working with us will connect you with policymakers at the highest level, and your input will contribute to protecting and improving the environment for millions across multiple countries. Our collaborations with governments, EU institutions, international bodies like the United Nations and World Bank, industry associations, and global companies extend our positive influence worldwide.
Our policy and economics team is based across the UK (London, Reading, Bristol, Manchester) and Belgium (Brussels). The team works alongside our broader global advisory services, comprising over 73,000 environmental specialists in more than 50 countries. Our Belgium team aims to strengthen our presence in EU policy-making. Located in Brussels, our multidisciplinary team will involve you in EU projects from day one, offering training, career development, and personal support to help you become a recognized expert in your field.
This role supports the growth of our European environmental policy and economics business. You will work on projects related to water, hazardous chemicals, industrial emissions, air quality, natural capital and ecosystem services, climate change, waste, and resources, among other specialist areas. We seek candidates with experience in these areas, joining us at an exciting growth phase with a strong workload and ambitious strategy.
The role requires proven experience in applying economic theory and socio-economic techniques to environmental policies at international levels, including cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, impact assessment, valuation of health and environmental effects, and economic competitiveness assessment.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate, offering career development, diverse project exposure, and international travel in a friendly, supportive environment. Applications from candidates with European skills are especially welcome.
