Job summary

WSP's Intelligent Infrastructure team in the UK is expanding its vehicle automation work, delivering for a range of transport clients and shaping how automated mobility will be deployed in the real world. You will join a friendly, technically diverse group focused on safety and operational performance, from policy to field deployment.

The successful candidate will work with senior experts on projects spanning roads, rail, energy and active travel, contribute to risk assessments and safety

Qualifications

• Previous experience in safety, risk management, engineering, automotive, transport or infrastructure.
• Interest in emerging technology and ability to keep pace with a fast-moving industry.
• Experience or knowledge of automated vehicles is a plus, but not essential.
• Curious, proactive approach, with ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
• Can-do attitude, eagerness to learn and take initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong team player, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Take a systems view and understand context of policy, process, technology or governance changes.
• Put people at the heart of designs and decisions to shape behaviours.
• Make safety inclusive for all users, including diverse populations.
• Deliver high-quality technical work across Intelligent Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with specialists across WSP on multi-disciplinary projects.
