Job Description:

This role is ideal for an experienced ITSM Consultant who has a particular focus around CMDB and SACM alignment.

In this role, you will be responsible for capturing the key aspects of the current CMDB database & CMDB/SACM tooling, understanding the functionalities of the ITSM CMDB solution within ServiceNow so you can explain/recommend platform capabilities/structures, lead presentation & workshops to provide training to clients & internal teams, and ensure CI Management process is robust allowing the CMDB to remain current and accurate as well as ensuringthe decommission of legacy Remedy CMDB.

Required Experience:

• Proficiency in IT Asset Management Lifecycle and Configuration Management processes and efficiency in adoptions (tool agnostic and client oriented).
• Awareness of technologies and good practices that support CMDB (incl. CSDM) solutions, integrations including auto-discovery tooling.
• Strong planning and analytical skills to evaluate the criticality of information/data collected from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details (MS Excel, Project, Visio skills as a plus).
• Willingness to work with new technologies and to acquire new skills, e.g., ServiceNow Platform latest modules and plugins, ServiceNow Discovery, Agile Development, SCCM, Blazent, JIRA.
• Strong experience of normalizing data, investigating a customer’s CMDB schema.
• Strong experience comparing and performing gap analysis on the mandatory CI fields within a CMDB.
• Identify potential orphans, dependencies etc. as opportunities to remove redundant infrastructure (cost efficiency).
• Identify opportunities to virtualize/consolidate/decommission/remove assets.
• Be able to recommend remediations to the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes to align with the customer defined target SOO model.

• Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site (London or Portsmouth)
• Up to £75,000 plus bonus
