Job description:

The opportunity

In the area of Procurement, you will support organizations in implementing company-wide transformation programs, from strategy and concept development to implementation.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will assist CPOs and Procurement Leaders in implementing transformations as the digital landscape evolves, consumer needs change, and procurement practices fundamentally shift.
  • You will collaborate with clients to develop, deliver, and become a trusted advisor in the next generation of procurement.
  • You will contribute to the digital procurement transformation of your clients and advise them on driving top-line and bottom-line improvements.
  • You will leverage existing, emerging, and new technologies (e.g., generative AI, Procure-to-Pay, and Source-to-Contract solutions) to deliver these transformations.
  • You will be a key contributor and will progressively lead sub-work streams in client engagements, working within multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Technology, Risk, Finance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions) to deliver high-quality services aligned with our global methodologies and tools.
  • You will support the development of EY knowledge and concepts within our practice, and actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships.
  • You will build your management consulting and procurement capabilities to become a valued contributor to our clients' transformations and to your personal career growth.
  • You will identify business opportunities at your client sites and support proposal development in response to RFPs.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A degree in economics, industrial engineering, supply chain, procurement, or equivalent, with excellent results.
  • Meaningful experience (2-5 years) in procurement strategy, category management, operating models, supplier management and innovation, source-to-contract, order-to-pay management, or digital procurement transformation.
  • A strong interest in digital technologies (e.g., generative AI, RPA, Blockchain, source-to-pay tools) and some experience in their application.
  • Knowledge of procurement solutions such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Zycus, GEP, Ivalua, or others is important.
  • Sector experience in Consumer Products, Life Sciences, and/or Industrial Products.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel regionally and globally if needed.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German and French is highly valuable.
