Role Essential Responsibilities

1. Design and implement Azure data engineering solutions (Ingestion & Curation)
2. Create and maintain Azure data solutions including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage
3. Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure
4. Utilize Azure Data Factory or comparable technologies to create and maintain ETL operations
5. Use Azure Data Factory and Databricks to assemble large, complex data sets
6. Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and dependability
7. Ensure data quality, security, and compliance
8. Optimize Azure SQL databases for efficient query performance
9. Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable data platform architectures
10. Participate in all scrum ceremonies

Experience and Knowledge Required

• Blend of technical expertise with 5+ years of experience, analytical problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Azure DevOps
• Apache Spark, Python
• Strong SQL proficiency
• Data modeling understanding
• ETL processes, Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks knowledge
• Familiarity with data warehousing
• Big data technologies
• Data governance principles (a plus)
