Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to join our Real Estate Consulting team in locations across the UK (London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh). As a Senior Consultant specialising in the defence industry, you will play a critical role in providing strategic advice, writing business cases, and developing estate strategies for our public sector clients in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with public sector clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored real estate strategies and estate optimisation plans for defence clients.
  • Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and feasibility studies to support the development of business cases and estate strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices within the defence sector.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and clients.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities, participating in client presentations, and preparing proposals.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a consulting role, with a focus on the Defence Industry, within a consultancy or a public sector organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Defence Industry, including an understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procurement processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully writing Business Cases and/or developing estate strategies for complex construction projects and programmes in the defence sector.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities are desirable, including experience in managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Relevant degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field (postgraduate qualification is desirable).
