Job summary

Holmes & Hills Solicitors is seeking an experienced Construction Solicitor (Associate or Senior Associate) to join its expanding team. You will handle a broad range of complex and high‑value contentious construction matters across the UK, including adjudications, enforcement, and TCC litigation.

You will also have the opportunity to advise on non‑contentious work such as contract drafting and risk management while contributing to business development and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with adjudications, enforcement, and TCC litigation.
• Understanding of the Construction Act, payment mechanisms, and key contractual principles under JCT/NEC forms.
• Ability to manage matters with autonomy, handle client relationships directly, and contribute strategically.
• Experience in non-contentious construction work is advantageous but not essential.
• Existing network of contacts or a track record in developing business is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of adjudications, enforcement proceedings, and TCC litigation.
• Advise on non-contentious issues including contract drafting, risk management and project strategy.
• Lead client matters with commercial awareness and strategic input.
• Develop business and nurture client relationships with support from the firm’s networks.
