Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Senior Associate or Director level Lawyer to join a prestigious and expanding Construction & Engineering team based in Leeds City Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity for a solicitor with substantial construction law expertise, to work on a diverse portfolio of clients and matters.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising team members, managing client relationships, and working independently on high-profile projects. You will engage with clients, including listed companies, local authorities, educational institutions, banks, developers, contractors, and consultants on both national and international levels, and the role promises involvement in complex energy and infrastructure matters as well as various emerging sectors, including student accommodation and PRS. The team handles a wide range of contentious and non-contentious work, and lawyers with expertise in either or both could be accommodated within the existing structure.

Qualifications
  • Ideally 7 years' + PQE in construction law - specialists in contentious or non-contentious work (or indeed both) are welcome to apply
  • Experience supervising team members and leading projects independently
  • Strong client relationship management skills with exposure to diverse sectors
  • Previous exposure to energy, infrastructure, or emerging sectors like student accommodation or PRS will be advantageous, although not a prerequisite.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to oversee complex matters confidently
  • Solicitor status in England & Wales with relevant legal qualifications
