Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join their growing team, delivering major infrastructure projects across North and South Cumbria. The role focuses on water and/or wastewater schemes from inception to completion, with leadership across construction phases.

You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, monitor costs and programme, and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Senior Construction Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong background delivering water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing civil engineering schemes from pre-construction through to completion.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction activities across multiple projects.
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve programme milestones.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor project performance, programme, costs, and resource allocation.
• Mentor and develop site management teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across projects.
