Telecoms Construction Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Telecoms Construction Manager to become a key member of our team. The successful candidate will have the competency to deliver and manage all aspects of Telecoms installations, technical assurance, and commercial and contract management within the Rail sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all construction project activities including actions of AtkinsRéalis, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Direct and implement the overall project safety programs and ensure adherence to local and national regulatory safety codes.
  • Develop the project construction organization, ensuring it is composed of qualified personnel and that personnel utilization is effective.
  • Review project cost and schedule performance through progress reporting and analysis in coordination with Project Controls Manager/Quantity Surveyors (QS).
  • Ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken; monitor and analyze project safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance.
  • Control project expenditures and services, ensuring field operations stay within budget.
  • Maintain client relationships; act as the primary contact for client communication regarding field activities.
  • Adhere to all AtkinsRéalis construction procedures and processes, noting and approving any deviations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with all other AtkinsRéalis functional departments.
  • Implement the HOTT process and coordinate all contractual activities, including negotiations during project implementation.
  • Coordinate construction activities to support project plans and schedules.
  • Develop and implement training programs for subordinate personnel to enable responsibility expansion.
  • Coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning Manager.
  • Ensure all permits and licenses are obtained before work begins at the site.
  • Ensure construction teams are capable of executing their scope safely, securely, and cost-effectively.
  • Assist Lead Construction Engineers in resource balancing and prioritization.
  • Review change notices in support of the QS to establish costs and impacts on the project forecast.
  • Oversee provisions for temporary and permanent site setup.
  • Report to the Practice Director for Construction Delivery and to the Project Manager/Director for project responsibilities.
