Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join the new PMC team. You will support delivery of high‑quality projects from inception to completion, building strong client and stakeholder relationships and driving value for our clients.

The role requires proven experience with Tier 1/2 contractors, MCIOB and a related degree, deep knowledge of construction procedures, and a strong command of health, safety, and environmental practices to keep projects on time and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
• Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction procedures.
• MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject.
• Up to date knowledge of building legislation and Health and Safety legislation.
• Commercial and contractual awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good relationships with Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Clients.
• Oversee the appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental, ensuring best practice.
• Ensure procurement schedule aligns with the construction programme.
• Oversee project cost control and ensure delivery within the approved cost plan.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Construction manager to join T&T's new PMC team in London. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality projects for our clients, from inception to completion, and contribute to the business growth by fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
As a Senior Construction Manager, you will:
Maintain good relationships with Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Clients,
Sub-contractors and other professional members of the project team.Maintain a professional working relationships with all 3rd party stakeholders.Maintain the reputation of the company for the collaborative approach, delivering safely on time, within budget, quality of finish and defect free.Ensure safe working practice at all times and compliance with all current legislation.Ensure the most effective use of the resources at our disposal, including labour, plant, sub-contractors and materials. Ensure that the procurement schedule is produced and aligned to the construction programmeOversee the appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers.Oversee the preparation and management of the construction phase health and safety planLead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental, ensuring best practise is adopted and ensure compliance with current legislation, working closing with the HSQ&E team.Organisation of the team structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources.Work closely
with the project commercial team to ensure the project is delivered within the approved cost plan.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will have:Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractorExcellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction proceduresMCIOB and degree qualified in a related subjectUp to date knowledge of building legislation and Health and Safety legislationCommercial and contractual awareness
