Job summary

Shoosmiths is seeking a Senior Associate/Principal Associate to join its Construction team with flexible options in Birmingham, London or Leeds. The role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure and involvement in high profile development, regeneration, infrastructure and energy projects.

You will advise a diverse client base including developers, investors and public bodies, while collaborating with a national practice to drive growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in construction practice.
• Strong experience advising on non-contentious construction matters including contracts.
• Excellent drafting and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Advising on non-contentious construction matters across development, investment and infrastructure projects.
• Drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC, bespoke contracts and development agreements.
• Advising on consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees.
• Supporting procurement strategies, risk allocation and project delivery.
• Collaborating with Real Estate and Infrastructure teams to provide seamless advice.
• Contributing to client relationship management and business development.
