William James Recruitment is exclusively instructed to find a Senior Associate or Partner-level Construction lawyer for its London-based boutique practice. The role involves advising on a full spectrum of construction matters, with emphasis on disputes and contract drafting for high-profile developers and contractors.

You will join a high-calibre, boutique team that values quality, autonomy and flexible working arrangements, with strong client relationships and a sustainable, specialist focus.

Qualifications

• Senior Associate or Partner-level construction lawyer with strong disputes and/or non-contentious project experience.
• Deep familiarity with JCT and NEC standard form contracts.
• Technically excellent with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
• Collaborative, culturally aligned and motivated by quality over volume.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex construction disputes, including adjudication, arbitration and litigation
• Handle delay and disruption claims and non-payment matters
• Manage professional negligence claims involving consultants and project teams
• Provide strategic procurement and contract drafting advice
