Job Description:

This role is critical to the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC works on a flagship nuclear site. You will manage construction teams and contractors to achieve programme milestones, overseeing technical aspects, contractor management, and performance reporting.

  • Lead day-to-day M&E works across multiple construction zones
  • Manage contractors and ensure progress aligns with delivery schedules
  • Supervise and support direct reports with guidance and performance oversight
  • Monitor programme progress and proactively mitigate risks
  • Drive high standards for safety, environment, and quality assurance
  • Lead coordination meetings with site teams and stakeholders
  • Support contractor mobilisation and site readiness reviews
  • Produce clear weekly/monthly performance updates and reports
Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical construction delivery
  • Strong leadership and team supervision in complex environments
  • Proficient in site safety procedures and contractor coordination
  • Competent in progress reporting and risk mitigation
  • Holds a relevant engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or Construction)
  • SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH site safety certification

Desired Skills

  • Experience in regulated or high-security infrastructure
  • Understanding of commissioning and handover stages
  • Familiar with digital construction and site reporting tools
  • Experience in nuclear or large energy sector projects
  • Basic French language skills
