Qualifications
Experience within a claims/disputes consultancy is advantageous but not essential.
Exposure to formal dispute processes (adjudication, arbitration or litigation) is beneficial.
Candidates actively working towards chartership may also be considered.
Responsibilities
Review construction contracts and advise on contractual entitlements and risk.
Provide practical, commercially focused advice to help avoid and resolve disputes.
Support the preparation of claims and dispute submissions.
Deliver coaching and training to clients on commercial and contractual issues.
Skills
Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor
Proven capability providing professional commercial and contractual advice in construction
Strong grounding in core QS duties
Confident, professional and client-facing
Solid knowledge of standard forms of contract
Competent with Microsoft Office packages
Education
Degree-qualified (or equivalent)
Professional membership (e.g. RICS)
