Job summary

ICAEW in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Conduct Lawyer to join our in-house legal team. The role is permanent, 35 hours per week with hybrid working, and you will work full-time from the Milton Keynes office for the first 1-2 weeks to support induction and training before transitioning to standard hybrid arrangements.

You will advise Investigation Officers and Regulatory Case Managers on complaints and regulatory matters, prosecute and present cases, and provide clear legal advice.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with 5+ years’ PQE.
• Strong advocacy experience in regulatory matters.
• Experience preparing and presenting cases in adversarial proceedings.
• Strong legal analysis, judgement and advisory skills.
• Ability to manage complex casework independently.

Responsibilities

• Advise Investigation Officers and Regulatory Case Managers on complaints and regulatory matters.
• Prepare, prosecute and present cases before ICAEW's Disciplinary and Regulatory Committees.
• Manage your own varied caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice across the Professional Standards Department.

The role

About you
