Job description

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Component Engineer to join their client's expanding team based in Stevenage. This role will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering components department and the wider business through the completion of administration activities, technical expertise and dedication to maintain data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and respond to support queries related to components and parts
  • Manage, maintain and update component data, including life cycle status, export control, compliance ensuring compliance with regulations (REACH/RoHS)
  • Work within established departmental processes to complete administrative tasks
  • Provide technical advice and support for electronic, electrical, mechanical, or material commodities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge and experience working with components and parts
  • An engineering degree or relevant technical background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and a high concern for order and quality
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders

About the role:

  • 6 month contract (likely to be extended)
  • Pay rate: £50 per hour (Umbrella) / £38.15 per hour (PAYE)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company and play a vital role in their component engineering operations. Please note this role will require Security Clearance (SC) as part of the on-boarding process.
