Job summary

Mis-sold Expert in Manchester is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to take on day-to-day FCA compliance and report directly to the Head of Compliance.

You will provide practical FCA guidance across the business, review processes for regulatory alignment, identify risks, and support audits and regulatory reviews. You’ll work with stakeholders across the organisation to embed compliance obligations and drive continuous improvement.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join a growing FCA-regulated business in Manchester, working directly alongside the Head of Compliance.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll have genuine responsibility for day‑to‑day compliance, regulatory guidance and risk — helping ensure FCA requirements are understood and embedded across the wider business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing practical FCA compliance advice and guidance across the business
• Reviewing processes, activity and communications against regulatory requirements
• Identifying and escalating potential regulatory risks
• Supporting monitoring, audits and regulatory reviews
• Developing and maintaining compliance policies, processes and documentation
• Working closely with stakeholders across different areas of the business
• Supporting the Head of Compliance with wider regulatory projects and priorities

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience within an FCA-regulated environment
• Strong working knowledge of FCA requirements
• Compliance Officer, Compliance Advisory or similar experience
• Confidence interpreting regulation and turning it into practical business guidance
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
• Strong stakeholder management and attention to detail
• Growing business with the opportunity to help strengthen and shape the compliance function
