Job summary

Oliver James Group is partnering with a London Market Insurance Broker to recruit a Regulatory Compliance Manager. The role focuses on owning regulatory compliance activities, with a strong emphasis on FCA regulation and stakeholder engagement.

You will lead horizon scanning, monitor FCA updates and ensure policies stay aligned with evolving requirements. The successful candidate will translate complex rules into practical business solutions and support the wider team in regulatory change

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and UK regulatory framework.
• Experience in Insurance, preferably with an insurance broker.
• Experience managing regulatory change, horizon scanning and policy reviews.
• Clear communicator capable of briefing senior stakeholders on complex regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead horizon scanning of upcoming regulatory developments and assess impact.
• Monitor FCA updates and communicate changes across the organisation.
• Review and update compliance policies to reflect current requirements.
• Advise senior stakeholders on regulatory developments and implications.
• Support implementation of regulatory changes to maintain compliance.

Job description

I am partnered with an exciting and growing London Market Insurance Broker who are looking to appoint a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their expanding Compliance team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional with a strong understanding of FCA regulation to take ownership of key regulatory compliance activities, work closely with senior stakeholders and play an important role in supporting the business as it continues to grow.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead on horizon scanning, identifying upcoming regulatory developments and assessing their potential impact on the business.
• Monitor FCA regulatory updates and ensure relevant changes are effectively communicated across the organisation.
• Review, maintain and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure they remain aligned with current regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to advise on regulatory developments
• Support the implementation of regulatory changes, ensuring the business remains compliant with its obligations.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory compliance queries, providing practical guidance and support to the wider business.

You will need:

• Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook and the UK regulatory framework.
• Previous experience within the Insurance Market is essential, ideally within an insurance broker.
• Experience managing regulatory change, horizon scanning and policy reviews.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and communicating complex regulatory requirements clearly.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
