This is a key role within Freetrade, with a high level of exposure to Senior Management and Executive Committees. We are looking to mature the function, build out more structure and stronger processes, and support business growth and new products. We are looking for someone who can own and deliver elements to lead others and oversee their contributions. This will effectively be the deputy role. The role will grow with the firm. For the right candidate, there would be an opportunity to take on additional oversight and managerial responsibilities within the Compliance function.

You will...

1. Help lead the delivery of Freetrade's Compliance programme, focusing on delivering regulatory and compliance advice across the organisation.
2. Take the lead on key Compliance Advisory initiatives - working with our product team, engineers, operations and customer-facing teams and owning the delivery of strong, hands-on and pragmatic advice on business and customer issues, new products strategic initiatives and regulatory change.
3. Take the lead on enhancing the Compliance function's internal processes and controls. Provide oversight and challenge to the business through engagement with other teams at all levels of the firm.
4. Oversee Compliance reviews and controls testing. Manage, support and coach other members of the Compliance team, help them build their careers and develop their technical and soft skills.
5. Oversee the delivery of key Compliance policies, processes and controls and proactively identify and implement enhancements to them.
6. Contribute to the production and delivery of internal and governance reports.

You have...

1. Strong knowledge of UK financial services regulations, preferably as they apply to retail investments.
2. Practical working knowledge of Consumer Duty is essential.
3. Knowledge of Data Privacy rules would also be an advantage.
4. Interest in financial services regulation and a passion for delivering good outcomes to customers.
5. A strong communicator who thrives working cross-functionally across the firm.
6. The ability to influence people of all grades to deliver the right outcomes for clients.
