Senior Compliance Engineer

The company is involved with the design, development and manufacture of a range of diesel, hybrid and hydrogen powered engines for various applications and sell them worldwide.

The role will involve working with trade associations (government bodies, etc) on new engine emissions legislation and supporting the company to enable the development and production of engines that meet regional, environmental, and governmental legislative requirements.

This is an important role that will influence the design and development of current and future conventional and hydrogen engine systems.

Required: Senior Compliance Engineer

• Ideally a degree in engineering, science, environmental science, etc.
• Strong understanding of engine systems, combustion systems (e.g., ICE, Hydrogen, Hybrid) and experience in design, testing, emissions, research, aftertreatment, quality, compliance, approvals, conformance, etc.
• Good eye for detail and an analytical mindset.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to communicate regulatory requirements and standards around new emissions to engineering teams.

More: Senior Compliance Engineer

• Applicants from homologation, certification, and/or compliance backgrounds are of great interest. However, applications are welcomed from those with similar interests and attributes (e.g., Safety Engineering, Type Approvals, engine/emissions Testing, Quality Assurance, etc.).
• Experience in an engine product development environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, nuclear, marine) would be very useful.
• The role is aligned to a senior engineer level within the business, offering opportunities to progress to Principal Engineer.

Location: The Senior Compliance Engineer role is office-based in Derbyshire.

Relocation assistance can be provided. The roles are commutable from Rocester, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton.
