Job summary

Sutton Housing Partnership is recruiting a Compliance Contract Manager to lead high-value statutory compliance workstreams and manage multi-million-pound programmes. You will drive performance, risk assessment and remediation strategies across large-scale housing assets.

In this senior role within Asset Investment and Sustainability, you will oversee contractor performance, procurement specifications and the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring safety, governance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Academic: Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Building Services, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a relevant technical discipline
• Professional: Level 5 or 6 qualification in a relevant safety or technical field (e.g., Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or equivalent Building Safety qualification)
• Chartership/Professional Membership: Membership of a professional body at a senior level (e.g., MRICS, MCIBSE, MIWFM, or C.Build E)
• Safety Leadership: NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety or Construction, or a dedicated Legionella/Gas/Electric safety management qualification

Responsibilities

• Lead high-value statutory compliance portfolios and ensure programmes meet technical, financial and regulatory standards.
• Direct the full contract lifecycle including contractor performance, variations, payment validation and forecasting.
• Hold contractors to account against KPIs and SLAs, addressing performance issues and driving compliance.
• Serve as the technical authority for designated “Big 6” compliance workstreams and provide cross-cover across the portfolio.
• Undertake technical audits, site inspections and remedial strategies; manage risk through the risk-management framework.
• Lead and develop Compliance Administrators, ensuring accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
