As a leading international bank, we are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to assist the Head of Compliance in overseeing and managing regulatory requirements across Retail, Corporate, and Treasury sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring the bank adheres to PRA/FCA regulations and acts as the Data Protection Officer, maintaining the integrity and compliance of our operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of relevant PRA/FCA rules including Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty, TCF, MiFID II, EMIR, PSD II, and CASS.
  • Conduct regular risk-based monitoring to test the embedding of compliance arrangements within the bank.
  • Serve as the bank's Data Protection Officer, overseeing data protection requirements and ensuring compliance controls are in place.
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory relationships and review reports submitted to the regulator.
  • Review and approve financial promotions in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance-related reports to governing bodies to keep them fully apprised of regulatory developments and the bank’s compliance status.
  • Manage and complete regulatory notifications using the PRA/FCA online platform.
  • Facilitate effective sharing of compliance knowledge and experience among staff and engage constructively with all team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, specifically in compliance and HR.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply financial regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose creative solutions that align with business goals while ensuring compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independent and constructive challenging abilities to ensure adherence to the highest standards of business practice.
