Senior Compliance Advisor

Up To £58,000pa + Benefits + Hybrid Working

My client, a top UK law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in London - working as their new Senior Compliance Advisor.

With offices across the UK, you'll be working in the Compliance department of a full-service law firm! Your role will be broad and varied, with no two days being the same!

As the successful Senior Compliance Advisor, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

- Reviewing compliance policies and procedures

- Opening and onboarding new clients to the firm

- Assisting with the ongoing monitoring of existing clients and updating due diligence

- Providing advice on AML/CTF to -Earners

- Conducting new joiner compliance inductions

- Screening all clients and matters for sanctions

- Assisting the Head of Compliance with our annual AML external audits

- Obtaining relevant information on new matters and making judgement calls on whether there is any conflict of interest

+ much more.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:

- Have previous/existing Legal Risk & Compliance experience (AML and Conflicts)

- Have previous/existing experience in supervising/supporting junior staff

- Have an understanding of DPA/UK GDPR

- Have a track record of being able to make decisions on compliance matters

- Be able to commute to the London office 3 days a week minimum

- Be able to deliver training (in-person and online)
