Job summary

Northampton General Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist to join the Complex Discharge Therapy team on a fixed-term 4-month contract (Dec 2026–Mar 2027). The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with weekend work, offering a pro rata salary of £38,682–£46,580 per annum and a focus on complex discharge pathways within inpatient services.

Qualifications

• Registered HCPC with a Physiotherapist role.
• NHS experience preferred.
• Band 6 or equivalent complex discharge experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning for complex patients.
• Work within roaming therapy team to support daily discharge hub and wards.
• Supervise Band 5 therapists, therapy support workers and students as required.
• Participate in seven-day services and on-call rotas where appropriate.
